What's New in Business?

- Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach: Did you know that one of the biggest golf tournaments, "The Toshiba Classic Golf Tournament" raised $900,000 for Hoag Hospital located in Newport Beach? The tour attracted big names like Two-time PGA tour winner & the winner of The Toshiba Golf Tournament, Ronnie Black. Hoag will use the money towards their five specialty areas. (Source: LA Times)

- Citigroup, Inc.: We, as tax payers, helped Citigroup, Inc from going out of business. The addition of a new $60 annual fee on credit cards that previously didn't have an annual fee is the strategy that helped Citigroup eleminate their debt.

Personal Update: Since cycling has become a part of my daily routine. I recently joined a cycling group called, "OC Best Cycling Group". My first ride with them is this Sunday.

Start of a Dinner Club: Eight of us got together last week to showcase our culinary skills. We had authentic Venezulan food, carrot casserole & Baked peach with Orange Sorbet. Not to forget, old bay seasoned shrimp over salad and fresh mozerrala with tomatoes and drizzled with sauteed garlic in olive oil with capers. Hope this doesn't leave you hungry!

Personal Update: As most of you know, I was in training for Tour De'Palm Springs (Feburary, 13th 2010). After 104 miles of cycling through the downtown streets of Palm Springs, I was finally done! Thanks to a great team of cyclists, coaches and mentors who guided and trained with us all for 18 weeks.

Thanks to your support, over $2k was raised through me and over $64k was raised by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for cancer research and treatment.

San Francisco: I attended an informational seminar (Feburary 19th, 2010), organized by the U.S. Homeland Security, hosted by Pyramid Center. A few key note speakers included: "Alan Orlob, International Director of Security, Marriott International, George Gascón, Chief of Police, San Francisco.

Tahoe Update: While I was in Tahoe, CA I enjoyed company of a few old friends from Maryland and enjoyed my passion for snowboarding with fresh powder at Alpine Meadows and Mt.Rose.

Personal Update: I've been training for Tour De'Palm Springs which is on Feburary 13th. I recently finished a very long ride (85 miles+) with Team in Training, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My training has been a life changing experience. Thanks to all my family and friends for supporting me with my ultimate dedication to raising more and more money to raise cancer awareness.
